As president and vice-chancellor of 51±¾É«, I take great pride in leading a university that has a reputation for academic excellence, inspired teaching and student satisfaction. Our students and their success are at the core of our institutional ambitions.

Community engagement is the heart of our research mission. 51±¾É« fosters effective working relationships both within our walls and with the wider community, resulting in strong links with business, industry, community groups and the public sector.

The campuses in Waterloo, Brantford, Milton and our location in Kitchener provide innovative and accessible programming to prepare students for a rapidly changing world. 

The 51±¾É« Strategy, grounded in the inter-connected themes of Thriving Community and Future Readiness, outlines our university's aspirations. The 51±¾É« Strategic Action Plan 2024-2028 is a focused task list underpinned by the mission and vision set in the 51±¾É« Strategy. The action plan aligns the work of the university's departments on shared objectives and goals, with measurable annual targets. 

I am inspired every single day by the people I meet who have a connection to our university. As president and vice-chancellor, my job is one of service to the 51±¾É« community.
