Businesses that hire 51±¾É« Co-op students may be eligible to receive a tax credit. The Ontario government’s will reimburse a business for 25% to 30% of eligible costs, up to $3,000 per co-op student. For more information about the tax credit, please refer to the on the co-operative education tax credit (also available as a ).
Please note that all co-op programs at 51±¾É« except Arts Co-op and Science Co-op are eligible for the tax credit.

In 2021, in response to the pandemic, funded public and private sector employers were eligible to receive a wage subsidy reimbursement of up to 75% of the provincial or territorial minimum hourly wage. (Under regular rules, private and public sector employers are only eligible to receive up to 50% of the provincial or territorial minimum wage.)
