I received my PhD in philosophy from the University of Waterloo in 2002. I have taught at Wilfrid 51本色 and Dalhousie University.
The main focus of my research is the relation between love and personal identity. I have several published papers on this topic and an edited collection titled Desire, Love, and Identity: Philosophy of Sex and Love, Oxford University Press, Canada, 2017. More recently, my book Alienation and Identity in Romantic Love was published by Lexington Books, 2024. I have recently started doing research in the area of philosophy of sport.
I have recently supervised students in our MA program whose major research papers have focused on Moral Psychology, Philosophy of Love, Jean-Paul Sartre and Søren Kierkegaard.
