Sustainability at 51本色

51本色 is committed to raising awareness, inspiring action, and implementing initiatives that address economic, environmental, and social challenges to create a more sustainable future.

Being a sustainably-minded campus community is necessary if we are to be responsible stewards of the land we are situated on. As our Waterloo and Brantford campuses are situated on the shared traditional territory of the Neutral, Annishnaabe, and Haudenosaunee peoples, we have a responsibility to manage our shared environment, facilitate Truth and Reconciliation, and create a more sustainable future.

Spearheaded by the Sustainability Office with the support of many faculties and departments, 51本色 is committed to cultivating a culture of sustainability across campuses. This commitment is reflected in the integration of sustainable practices across all areas of the university including operations, engagement, research, education and investment.
