I received my PhD in applied mathematics from the York University in 2000 and my MSc in applied mathematics from the Peking University (China) in 1994.
Prior to joining 51本色, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Alberta (2000-2001).
The main focus of my research is the theory of functional differential equations and its application to mathematical biology. In particular, delay differential equations have arisen naturally in the areas of mathematical ecology, population biology, and neural networks. I shall study the effects of delays on the dynamics of the underlying models.
I have supervised some undergraduate, master and PhD students as well as several postdoctoral fellows interested in applied mathematics. I am willing to supervise graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in the areas of dynamical systems and mathematical biology. Contact me for more information.
