I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario and graduate degrees (MA and PhD) from Carleton University in 1996. From then I spent several years in the U.S. at the University of North Dakota and then Westchester University before retuning home to Canada at 51本色 in 2002.
The main focus of my research is how women cope with gender discrimination. Currently, I am examining how different forms confronting gender discrimination (e.g., email to media; Twitter; educating the perpetrator) may help or hinder women's psychological well-being (mood, life satisfaction, growth, etc.).
