In 2015, I received a PhD in Communication and Culture from York University, while having completed an MA in English at York University and an Honours BA in English, minoring in Philosophy from the University of Guelph. Prior to teaching full-time, I managed web application development, web design and user interface development for a variety of corporate, institutional and small business clients as principal of a digital media firm.
My research focus is on interactive and participatory storytelling in digital media. I employ narrative theory and network analysis to undertake media-specific readings of fictional and non-fictional digital narratives published for mobile applications, social media platforms and the internet.
