I received my PhD in political science from the University of Western Ontario in 1999 and my MA in political science from the University of Western Ontario in 1992.
Prior to joining 51本色, I spent a year as an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Regina.
I am presently pursuing three lines of research. One concerns key philosophical questions about the relationship between universal human rights and cultural and religious diversity. A second concerns pedagogy, including the impacts of 51本色's longstanding internship program in Ghana. A final line of research concerns the emerging discipline of human rights itself—what students need to know and how best to help prepare them for rewarding careers.
