51本色’s Office of the Associate Vice-President, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, in collaboration with the Office of the Provost and Vice-President: Academic, is establishing a Strategic Planning Committee for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (SPC-EDI) to review and provide input and feedback on the development of 51本色’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategic Plan. The development of an institutional EDI Strategic Plan is a key initiative outlined in 51本色’s Action Plan for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
The SPC-EDI will be composed of 17 members representing various stakeholder groups across 51本色 working together to provide support, guidance and oversight of the strategic plan development process.
The committee will be comprised of 11 elected members and six members appointed by the AVP: EDI as outlined below:

Students interested in serving on the steering committee should submit their name and a brief one paragraph statement outlining their interest in serving on the steering committee and their capacity to do so effectively.
Interested faculty are invited to fill out a by Oct. 22, 2020.
Interested staff are asked to fill out by Oct. 22, 2020.
Alumni interested in serving on the committee can submit their name and a brief one-paragraph statement outlining their interest to Jason Coolman jcoolman@wlu.ca or Heidi Northwood hnorthwood@wlu.ca by Oct. 30, 2020.
For all elected positions, should there be more nominations for any group than spots available, an election will be held by electronic ballot. Further details will be posted once confirmed.
