I am a media studies and environmental humanities scholar from what is now called northern British Columbia. I am a citizen of the Métis Nation of Alberta, and am currently an assistant professor in Communication Studies at 51本色, as well as a research associate with the Mahindra Humanities Center at Harvard University.
I completed my PhD in English and Film Studies from the University of Alberta in 2019. Prior to joining 51本色, I was a SSHRC and FRQSC postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Art History and Communication Studies at McGill University from 2020 to 2022 and a postdoctoral fellow in Environmental Humanities with the Mahindra Humanities Center at Harvard University from 2022 to 2023.
